The Concert Band is the only band group at Queen Anne's County High School that rehearses during the school day and whose members receive a grade and a fine arts credit.  Currently, there are two classes, the Freshman Concert Band intended for mostly incoming ninth graders, and the Symphonic Band for students in grades ten through twelve.  Both classes last for half of a period the entire year and both perform together.  Their performances include the Winter and Spring Concerts, as well as District Band Festival and a similar event during the band trip each year.

        In addition to the required performances, students are also given the opportunity to participate in individual or small group performances.  Some of these events are District Solo and Ensemble, All-Shore Band, and possibly State levels for those who do especially well.  These are open to all students, though it does not affect the grade of those enrolled in a concert band class.
